HISTORY

For over 50 years, Berean Christian School has equipped Kindergarten through high school students academically, spiritually, and relationally to follow Christ and serve others. Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be a calm, welcoming, peaceful and joyful presence in the classroom.
• Exhibit Biblical wisdom, the fruit of The Spirit and godly values, so as to be an example for the children to emulate.
• Inspire students to discover a love of learning.
• Lead children to understand the wisdom of self-control.
• Guide children in understanding appropriate interactions with other students and staff.
• Maintain thorough records regarding attendance and academic progress.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child’s behavior and progress.
• Administer student diagnostic testing of new students.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to warmly and effectively interact with students, staff, families and others with genuine compassion, concern and empathy for all.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to “sweep the floors” – complete all tasks, regardless of perceived importance, with a positive attitude, personal humility and a willingness to learn.
• Steadfastly hold one’s self accountable to high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
